    So does this really strengthen the low back muscles? How often shouldvtgese be done and hiw can we do this at home or work. It looks like lifting the left lumbar muscle while bending helps. Thank you for your help.

      It mobilizes the vertebrae that aren’t moving like they should. It’s like stretching for your joints where your bones are. No strengthening.

    Hello Sir, I have threequestions and would appreciate your answer. 1) In this example of Mulligan Gait Technique is the painful leg the left one or the right one? Because before you mentioned it's the left one and in this particular technique you're showing the pain on his right leg. My question is do we rotate the legs to the painful side or from the painful side? 2) Would you do forward bending Snag with actual spine flexion or hip flexion (with neutral spine)? And how many sets and reps would you do in one visit? Also, when would you suggest the next visit (the next day, 2 days after the treatment...etc...) 3) What pressure do you use with SNAG: a) as least as you need to take away the pain or b) as hard as you can without bringing on pain

  • @Choby94
    @Choby94 3 года назад

    Why did you mobilise the two vertebres in different directions and how did you decide to do it (was the resistance what you looked for or was it biomechanics)?

  • @UNTRAVER

    Estimado colega, para las automovilizaciones de tronco se usa la correa, es mucho más efectivo que poner al paciente a hacer rotación interna de hombro y mantener una tracción que es complicada de mantener, sobre todo si el paciente no tiene las mismas condiciones atléticas del paciente del video. Yo tengo pacientes con muy mala condición física que adolecen de muchas cosas y a veces es complicado pedirles un esfuerzo de este tipo, pero con la correa todo se facilita un poco. Un cordial saludo desde Colombia.

    Hi doctor, Radiating pain to hip flexor region, what is the reason for mobilizing L4 spine ?

    • @enhancedptny
      @enhancedptny 4 года назад

      Good question and I sorry If I wasn’t clear. Around the are and not in the hip flexor. Pain radiating along the iliac crest from L5, so snagged L4 with pain free movement. Recently, I had the privilege of treating someone with these specific symptoms for the first time. Painful hip and knee flexion( pain with active, passive and with resistance). Tx: positional snags/ MWM of L4 was performed without any symptoms on day. Hope this helps. Learning, growing and enjoying what we do each day. Making a difference in people’s life. 🙏🏽

    Did not understand what the belt is doing. Appears to be applying an AP glide of radius and ulna. Was your upper hand stabiling or having a directive force?- thank you

    • @hamzanafees3664
      @hamzanafees3664 5 лет назад

      i think his both hands are only stabilizing and belt is giving lateral glide to forearm bones

    • @enhancedptny
      @enhancedptny 4 года назад

      Yes, both hands are stabilizing. One on the distal humerus and the other over the forearm. The belt is gliding the ulna laterally. For more info please refer to Mulligan’s 6th edition manual. Tracking force by using the belt juts enough to rid the pain. Make sure fine adjustments of the angle of glide for pain relief.

      @@enhancedptny Why is this called a lateral glide? In an anatomical stance it seems the movement would be medial? Are you pulling towards the ceiling with the belt or are you pulling towards yourself?

    I just had MWM done today on my elbow by Pursuit Physiotherapy in Red Deer, AB, Canada. Earlier in the morning, I was surfing the net, trying to figure out if cross-fibre friction had any scientific backing. Stumbled upon Mulligan MWM, found that it did have backing, called around town to see if it was known, found out that Pursuit knew about it, and Bingo!, got an appointment that afternoon. Extremely comprehensive initial session for diagnosis, and then just a couple of minutes of MWM. I could barely believe that the pain I had for much of previous 2 1/2 months left me, just like that. Of course, there is still a lot of healing to do, and MWM didn't do anything about my triceps tendons, but I'm much happier and optimistic now. I know it sounds crazy, but just google it and start reading the various scientific journal abstracts. I'm SO glad that I did, since normal physio and self-treatment up to that point didn't seem to be doing anything.
